Tinder Passport feature is a premium feature for Tinder Plus & Gold subscribers. With Passport, you can search by city or drop a pin on the map and begin Liking. But now, due to the lockdown, it is free for some limited time.
Dating app Tinder has created an existing feature called Passport free for all its users. The feature is available for Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold users. The app has got the feature accessible for all single people. It can be obtained for free till April 30.
This passport feature allows its users to explore by city or drop a pin on the map on the destination of the user’s preference.
“We hope our members, many of whom are enthusiastic and looking for more human connection, can use Passport to transport themselves out of self-quarantine or isolation to anywhere in the world,” Tinder CEO Elie Seidman stated in a statement.
Since Tinder is location-based, and most people are stuck in one location owing to the pandemic.
They can even modify their location by touching the profile icon, then going to settings, tapping area, and by clicking “Add a new location.”
By using Tinder Passport, users also get to search the world by picking options like selecting by city and entering their preferred city’s name or by dropping a pin to their preferred location.
“Social distancing doesn’t have to mean separating. And that’s why we’re making our passport feature, which allows you to join with anyone, anywhere in the world, free for all of our members April 30. Now more than ever, having someone to talk to makes a world of difference,” Tinder Passport’s description reads.
Users can change their chosen location various times, but they can virtually be at only one place at a time. Users must also note that they will be capable of viewing the profile of the person who has liked their profile for a day despite their current virtual location.
“We’re excited by how people are using Tinder to be there for each other, and we need to fan these flames of social solidarity,” Tinder CEO Elie Seidman said.
