Fintech major Paytm announced its users would presently be capable of booking vaccination appointments on the Paytm app aside from locating available slots.
Paytm users can now search, find & also book their vaccination openings for Covaxin and Covishield vaccines at the nearest center through the Paytm app.
Paytm tweeted on their official Twitter account with this description.
“From instant alerts to now directly booking on your Paytm app – the new & improved Vaccine Slot Finder tool is here. Give it a go!”
The service would encourage Indians seamlessly book vaccination slots and increase immunity, assisting in battling the ongoing pandemic.
CoWIN head R S Sharma had newly announced over a dozen entities, including large digital companies like Paytm, MakeMyTrip, and Infosys, are staring at support for developing vaccine bookings.
Last month, the government issued new guidelines for integrating CoWIN with third-party applications, shifting the way for such apps to offer vaccine bookings.
Earlier, organizations like Facebook and Google to startups such as HealthifyMe have launched a slew of tools to assist people in finding slots for vaccination appointments.
Platforms like Under45 and GetJab converted famous overnight as they informed users when vaccine slots opened up and then addressed them to the CoWIN platform to secure an appointment.
In May, Paytm, too, had started the ”Vaccine Finder” feature on the app to ease the user find guidance for vaccine booking, including information such as the sample of vaccine available and the fee charged for it.

India has continued ramping up vaccination to undertake the COVID-19 pandemic. India has so far administered over 25.4 crore jabs to eligible beneficiaries.
The government has been undertaking vaccinations in a phased way, beginning with those over 60 years, then for those over 45 years, and most newly, for those aged between 18-44 years.
