HP has launched a new range of notebooks in India to expedite users as they continue to work from home to support social distancing.
The new range of laptops brings 4G LTE connectivity to the affordable segment that was possible on premium laptops such as Elite Dragonfly and Spectre X360, over and above up to 8GB of RAM and Intel Core i5 processor.
There are two laptops in the range – HP 14s and Pavilion X360 14 – that begins for Rs 44,999. HP announces its new range is optimized to stay connected all the time, especially at the locations with low fixed-line broadband penetration in India.
For users looking for a device that holds cellular connectivity and is optimal for light to average productivity, HP 14s could be a great option.
The HP 14s “delivers power in an ultra-mobile design” and weighs 1.53kg. It has a 14-inch FHD micro-edge display with a screen-to-body ratio of 78 percent.
HP 14s arrives in two configurations – 10th-gen Intel Core i3 and Core i5 joined with 256GB of storage. It has a built-in Intel XMM 7360 4G LTE modem combined to offer cellular connectivity. The HP 14s has a 720p HD front camera, in enhancement to connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SD card reader, a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, and an HDMI port.
Explaining on the launch, Vickram Bedi, Senior Director, Personal Systems, HP India Market, stated, “With remote working becoming the new normal, the HP 14s range is aimed at arming employees and employers to fight the given situation. Being India’s first PC with personal internet at an affordable price point, we intend to address key concerns such as security and connectivity of modern users.”
HP Pavilion X360 14, the laptop is powered by a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Iris Plus combined graphics. The laptop also features 4G connectivity using the same Intel modem.
The laptop also has native access to Amazon Alexa with voice wake-on features. There is a 14-inch FHD display with micro-edge bezels, the company stated, along with a screen-to-body ratio of 82.47 percent. The HP Pavilion X360 14 appears with Bang & Olufsen Audio on dual speakers with HP Audio Boost technology.
Both the HP 14s and Pavilion X360 14 come preloaded with Windows 10, the laptop manufacturer said in a release.
The HP 14s arrive in two alternatives – the one with Core i3 processor and 4GB RAM costs Rs 44,999, and the other one with Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM is priced at Rs 64,999. Both models are now available to purchase from both online and offline platforms. Meanwhile, the laptop Pavilion X360 14 is priced at Rs 84,999, comes in Natural Silver color, and will go on sale starting July 1.
HP has partnered Reliance Jio for fantastic launch offers on the three laptops. Customers will be fit for a free Reliance Jio SIM card with 1.5GB daily data valid up to six months. There will also be a discount of 30 percent on other prepaid plans next to the six months validity of complementary data pack expires. The offer is redeemable only at Jio stores on proper verification of laptop purchase invoice.
